The YUNA YANG Fall/Winter collection, titled “Che Bella” guides you to a world of fanciful beauty and love inspired by modern Italian cinema. This collection evokes the whimsy of Roberto Benigni, the sublimity of Monica Bellucci in Giuseppe Torna- tore’s film Malena, and the veneration of romance in Cinema Paradiso. Since walking la Via Montenapoleone as a student in Milan, Yuna dreamed of creating art that fused life’s happiness and romance with its struggles. With this collection ‘Che Bella,’ YUNA YANG brings the romantic extravagance of Italy to New York Fashion Week. ‘Che Bella’ is classic and luxurious garments with the elegance of the past done in easy fabrics. Like Italian cinema’s juxtaposition of high-brow and low-brow, the fabrics in this collection mix non-iron cotton, pastel colored polyester Japanese jerseys, and Italian double cashmere—finished with our signature beadings, Italian lace and trims. ‘Che Bella’ celebrates the sometimes capricious, sometime stubborn ability of human nature to seek beauty and whimsical love in the grey of everyday life.
