September 9th, 2017 – Designer, Yuna Yang Showcased “Save the Earth” Spring 2018 RTW
Designer, Yuna Yang, showcased her SS2018 collection in the Mount Vernon Hotel Garden museum in Upper Eastside. YUNA YANG SS18 collection titled as ‘Save the Earth‘ that The value in taking care the home we called Earth is what inspired Yuna Yang this season. Ongoing issues with climate change and pollution are slowly destroying our planet.
Inspired by environmental art installations around the world, Yuna wants to send a message about the importance of preserving our Earth. Marie-Hélène Richard’s Rosae Plasticae art installation in France showed roses handcrafted out of plastic bags challenging the subject of recycling. A beauty can be formed from re-purposing rather than discarding.
Steven Siegel’s recycled trash sculptures that were displayed around the world were silent testimonies to how individuals can influence the environment they live in.
As humans living on this planet, we must seek change in saving this wonderful and unique Earth that was created to ‘wow’ our eyes at every turn we take as we walk through our journey.
